Welcome to F1 Lewis Hamilton

I have been a Formula One fan for many years, but for me recent years have not been so good. Formula One seemed to have lost it's excitement, it's wheel to wheel racing, it became basically a procession of racing cars.

I remember the days of Nigel Mansell, Alan Prost and the great Ayrton Senna. To me, these drivers had something about them, they raced, took risks and produced something that kept you on the edge of your seat (when you weren't chewing your nails with nerves).

All of this has changed in the last season of two. We have seen some really good races last year (2006) but then at the beginning of this season something happened that really sparked my interest in Formula One again. Another young driver joined the McLaren Mercedes team, a man by the name of Lewis Hamilton. His start to this season, the like of which has never been witnessed before or likely ever to be seen again.

This is the reason I have built this site about the man, to follow his career and progress through the Formula One Circus.

Lewis Hamilton - McLaren Mercedes F1 Driver

Lewis Hamilton is the 'new boy' of Formula One for the 2007 season. What a season it has been so far. Lewis Hamilton has set a number of new records in the first part of the season. Lewis Hamilton.
Winner of the 2008 Formula One Championship.

Lewis Hamilton drives for the McLaren Mercedes team as the teammate to Jenson Button (new site launched 19 March 2012).

Lewis started his F1 career in Australia on the 18th March. He qualified in a fantastic 4th place and completed the race to finish in 3rd position to give him a podium finish in only his first Grand Prix. A dream of many a Formula One driver, unbelievable for a 'Rooky' driver in only his first race. Was it beginners luck, or is this young man, from the McLaren Mercedes team, just that something really special?

Follow the Lewis Hamilton race career on this site. We will keep track of his results in the coming months and years.

Congratulations on a successful 2008 and the F1 World Championship win

Well what a season 2008 was. Congratulations must go to Lewis Hamilton on a great seasons racing although not the unblemished second season we would have liked to have seen, but hey, you need to leave something to aim at!

The arrival of Lewis has really re-ignited my interest in F1, so roll on season 2009 with all the new regulations and new car designs it should prove to be a really interesting seasons racing!
